and French doors overlooking the home's magnificent grounds
-- this spacious apartment provides an ideal setting for someone
seeking peace and tranquility. Set among bubbling fountains, visiting
birds, towering Palms and Bamboo, this sprawling walled and gated
Residence provides numerous areas for reading and relaxation and is
located just steps from Balboa Park. Constructed in 1926 this unique
and thoughtfully renovated property was featured in
Save Our Heritage Organization (SOHO's) 2007 Tour of Historic Homes
and Gardens. While centrally located near Hillcrest and Downtown, this
large resort-like property provides an Oasis of tranquility in the
midst of the City.
Vacation Rental Amenities
Large Sony TV w/cable, DVD, Surround Sound, Fully appointed Custom
Kitchen w/gas stove, DW, Microwave, and Fridge. Master Suite has
quality Queen bed, fine linens, walk in closet, TV, and wonderful
garden views. Den/Second bedroom provides full sized bed, writing
table, closet and patio access. Apartment also provides private
laundry, central forced air heat, and private uncovered on site
parking. This is a non smoking property and sorry, no pets.
Maid service can be provided bi monthly for extra charge.
Activities and Attractions
Balboa Park-- San Diego's version of Central Park -- is within walking
distance. A dozen tennis courts, municipal golf course, World Famous
San Diego Zoo, fine Museums, Old Globe Theaters, the Prado, fine
dining and dozens of acres of beautifully manicured gardens for hiking
and strolling.
Just a mile West is the neighborhood of Hillcrest -- home to hundreds
of unique and ethnic restaurants, cafes, bakeries, coffee houses,
boutiques, and entertainment. Recently voted one of America's Ten
Best Neighborhoods (along with San Francisco's North Beach) Hillcrest
is noted for it's historic character, interesting and diverse shops
