Vacation Rental Description
This bright, airy, contemporary duplex is split level with an open
floor plan. Downstairs the large open living area, consisting of the
kitchen, dining area and living room. The living area merges with the
spacious yard, shaded by palm trees and surrounded by flowering
plants. The securely fenced spacious yard is exclusively for your use
and is not shared with another party, as is the usual situation with
duplex rentals. Since the yard is contiguous with the main living
area, most guests hang their bathing suits and towels out to dry after
the day at the beach while they lounge around, barbeque or watch a
show on the 50" Plasma TV in the nearby living room. In summer the
front door is open just about all of the time to take advantage of the
cool pacific breeze.
Upstairs there are two large, bright bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms,
each full sized with showers and tubs. There is also an additional
bathroom downstairs, and a private outdoor shower to wash off after
the beach. There will never be a wait with 3 bathrooms and 3 showers!
There is a full size washer and dryer inside the unit and ample
storage for bicycles and other large items. There are two enormous
closets in the bedrooms in case you decide to bring more than a couple
of bathing suits, which is really all you need.
There is off street parking for 2 large cars or SUVs and a door
opening directly to the carport, making loading and unloading a breeze.
This unit is 1150 square feet - larger than many of the 3 bedroom
units in the area. It has more than twenty Pella windows that provide
outstanding light and ventilation.
Recreation abounds less than 100 yards away. Walk to the beach in
under a minute and stroll or skate along gorgeous Mission Beach, or
you can choose to go along Mission Bay where it is quieter and
uncrowded. Catch the sunset over the blue Pacific! Located 5 houses
from Mission Bay and 10 houses from the Pacific Ocean, you will be
only minutes from Sea World, La Jolla, Balboa Park and The San Diego
Zoo, Seaport Village, and downtown, with its great new ballpark and
historic gaslamp quarter.
Vacation Rental Amenities
This very clean, modern, and large unit has stainless appliances,
clean contemporary decor, and a fully stocked kitchen that will
please a discerning chef. A 50" HD Plasma TV and awesome audio
system will entertain you before and after the beach.
Upstairs, the two large bedroom suites have their own full bathrooms
with tubs. There is a balcony and a huge amount of closet space.
There is an additional half bathroom downstairs and also a laundry
room with full size washer and dryer inside the unit, and tons of
storage.
The master bedroom has a queen bed an the second bedroom has a full
sized and a twin bed.
There is a full size futon and a huge couch suitable for sleeping a
large adult in the living area.
The yard has a new propane barbecue and comfortable outdoor
furniture. The yard is shaded by two palm trees and a large umbrella
over the table, which can be closed if desired. The house faces
Brighton Court, which is a quiet "walk street", not accessible by
motorized vehicles. The house and yard are south facing. The yard is
exclusively for your use and is not shared.
This is a fully furnished unit. Included are linens, a fully equipped
kitchen with microwave and dishwasher, blender, toaster, coffee pot,
coffee bean grinder, 2 color TVs, plus the 50" Plasma TV, a DVD player,
complementary hi speed wireless internet, and a high end stereo system
(Bose Speakers, Carver Amp) with IPOD hook up and a Harmon Kardon
CD player.
There are also beach chairs, beach towels, ice chest, childrens
beach toys and boogie boards for your use. A surfboard is also
available. It is a long board suitable for beginners.
There are two covered tandem parking spaces which can accommodate two
large vehicles, up to 7 feet tall (Tahoes and Suburbans are fine -
but not with roof carriers or lift kits!).
Activities and Attractions
San Diego is famous as an outdoor lover's paradise. Swimming,
boating, surfing, cycling, skating, running, scuba diving and deep
sea fishing are some of the activities that abound in its beautiful
climate. There is also world class shopping in the lovely upscale
village of La Jolla, as well as numerous shopping malls throughout
the area. Mexico is only a half hour drive or trolley ride to
the south!
Sea World is 2 miles away and an easy bike ride. The World Famous
San Diego Zoo is 10 miles and the Wild Animal Park and Lego Land are
under 45 minutes. The Del Mar Race Track is under 1/2 hour drive
strait up the coast.
Belmont Park with the Big Dipper Roller Coaster, Plunge Olympic Size
swimming pool and the new Wave Rider is a 5-10 minute walk down the
boardwalk. The Wave Rider ensures the surf will always be up and can
be ridden with special surf or boogie boards all day long and even at
night.
Seaforth Boat Rentals is about a mile away for those who choose to
sail, jet ski, fish or water ski on the bay. Bicycles, kayaks and
roller blades can be rented at multiple places within easy walking
distance.
For the gym goers, there are 2 24 Hour Fitnesses about 2 miles away,
a Golds 2 miles, Powerhouse 1.75 miles and a World Gym about 6
miles away. Even closer, at the Plunge, there is a decent gym and a
huge indoor swimming pool, about a half mile away, just a short walk
along the beach. The pool may be accessed for a nominal fee to swim
laps or just to play.

During special events, Spring Break and major Holidays a 20%
surcharge will apply.
Long term 9 month stays available off season: $3300/month-Furnished
and including all utilities (includes unlimited phone within US and
Canada, broadband internet, electricity, gas, water, HD digital cable
with DVR for the 50" HD Plasma).
