Here in Kapoho, the sunniest spot on the quiet side of the Big  
Island of Hawaii, is where you can still be in touch with a bit of  
old Hawaii, untouched by city life. We cordially invite you to visit  
this oceanfront piece of Paradise. Kapoho is a small quiet gated  
community approximately 30 miles south east of Hilo.  
 The many tropical fish which also flourish in the ponds make them a
beautiful snorkeling location. 
 Lounging in the warm Geothermally heated springs is a popular pastime 
in Kapoho. One of the famous Ponds called Champagne Pond in Kapoho, 
which can be accessed and enjoyed from our property. You will be able
to snorkel and see tropical fish and Sea Turtles. For a day trip, head 
to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Take a peak at an explosion captured
on film in the Kilauea Visitor's Center. Head down the Chain of 
Craters Road and look for flowing lava. and explore the Thurston Lava 
Tube, the fern forests, and the other natural phenomena of the area. 
About One Hour Drive. Lava Tree State Park: Restaurants and Super
Market in Pahoa Town 10 min Drive from the Home. Area attractions 
include, swimming, scuba diving, spelunking, fishing, restaurants, 
reefs, surfing, snorkeling. National Volcanoes Park is about 1 hour 
away. Akaka Falls 40 min Drive. Lava Flow watching 30 min. Steam 
Venting Natural Sauna 15 min Drive. Tide Pools and Best Coral viewing
by snorkeling 5 min Drive. in Vacationland.  
   The Kapoho Paradise Home (2100 s.f. plus Huge Deck overlooking the  
Ocean and Ponds features 2 ponds, ocean access, salt-water swimming  
pool, a spacious living room, dining room, kitchen with Island, 4  
bedrooms, 3 baths, jacuzzi tub, master bedroom (with Ocean View) 4 
queen size beds, pool table and Sofa Bed. Two Decks overlook the ponds
and ocean. One Deck has gas BBQ while you enjoying the ocean view.

Pahoa is a good example of a town that likes a pace  
that is slow and easy. Once a center of America's  
timber industry, modern Pahoa now resembles small  
town U.S.A. Residents pride themselves on their  
Anthuriums. People walk to the theatre on Friday  
nights. Has variety of great restaurants, shopping  
and Grocery stores. About 10 minutes drive. 
Kehena Beach is another black sand beach that rests  
beneath a low sea cliff. The ocean is a bit tricky for  
swimming, so concentrate on sunning yourself on one  
of the two patches of sand that is sheltered by a  
shade of coconut trees. The beach is also known to  
locals as a clothing optional area. About 15 minutes  
away.

In Memory of Arthurena 
On March 27, 2008 our beloved sea turtle Arthurena passed away. She 
will be missed by many people, especially us. She had a long and 
protected life. Her friendliness and beautiful grace of movement  
will forever remain vivid in our minds. The joy and love she brought 
to our hearts with her visits to us humans continues to beat strong
and the memory of her shall never fade
