Picnic Point Cabin is the perfect spot for a relaxing mountain vacation. Nestled on a quiet, no-wake cove on Lake Lure. The vintage lakeside summer home has been recently renovated to provide modern conveniences. The main level, which is easily accessed from the parking area with no stairs, has a fully furnished kitchen and a breakfast area with expansive windows overlooking the lake. Adjacent to the kitchen is an inviting living area with a vaulted ceiling with wood beams, a natural stone fireplace, warm vintage hard wood floors, and an additional dining area overlooking the lake. On this level is the master bedroom with king bed and a charming sitting area. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a window overlooking the lake and the third bedroom on this floor is furnished with twin bunk beds. The full bathroom with walk-in shower is easily accessible to all bedrooms. There is a screened porch off the living area that is a nice spot to sit and enjoy the wonderful view of the lake. There is also a bonus room on the basement level, which is accessed from the screened porch stairway. This is a basic room furnished with a futon sofa, bistro table and chairs, mini- fridge, cable TV and a small but fully functional bath. The laundry area is also located on this level. Having its own private entrance and porch overlooking the lake, this area is perfect for older children or grandparents wanting a little privacy. Winding stone steps lead from the cabin down to the lake's edge where you will find a covered outdoor dining pavilion with a ceiling fan, a very spacious deck with a ladder and steps into the water for swimming and a hand crafted stone outdoor grill. There is also space to dock your boat, and a large deck atop the boathouse furnished for sunning and socializing.

Rates include all linens and towels. There is a boat dock available for guests at Picnic Point Cabin if you would like to bring a boat, or rent one locally. However, there are additional boat permit fees charged by the Town of Lake Lure.
