An access lot means it provides access to the lake (very desirable). You will see the access lot, large and beachy!.......Please understand that it is NOT connected physically to Water Buoy. It is about 3-4 blocks away. Please understand that it is a NEIGHBORHOOD share place. There are FEW of such on the lake. One can beach the boat there, picnic, drive back to the house in 2 minutes if need be, sun bathe. NOT ON water, across street Sleeps 2- 8 The lake is across the street from the deck (although that is not where you access the lake.) The 2 marinas are so very close (one less than half mile). Since Stutts marina is temporarily closed, Inland marina is in full swing! Ramp fee about (3-5 dollars) . Drive the boat a short distance around the bend to the lot and get in!! This one is GREAT for the overflow = too large a crowd for our other sites.
There is PLENTY of parking at Water Buoy as there is a circular drive and aside drive, as well as, side street parking. There is a little outdoor shower under the deck for cleaning feet and boating goop. I have just completed the tiled floors and placed radiant heat in the upper living area. This house is fully furnished, but I have found that the only problem is towels...they take for ever in the dryer and get 'lost' all of the time. My solution; PLEASE bring towels for both your bathing needs and boating! . Thank you!! Update; I now have a towels package!
HOSPITAL Please have everyone in your group know where this paper is kept. I77 NORTH (left as exiting The Landing) to exit 33 right first right Lake Norman Regional Lake Norman Regional Medical Center 171 Fairview Road PO Box 3250 Mooresville, NC 28117 Telephone: Will provide, not allowed on this site. If you want to use either of the pools, please have us explain use and directions. They can be emailed to you. Please wear bathing suit wraps outside of pool area.
Please bring your personal towels for boat/ lake/pool use. REMEMBER that NC dirt stains ORANGE (they call it RED clay) color.
Please, if you use the sofa for sleeping, please do not sleep directly on it. There are coverings UNDER the seat. Lift lid and place on sofa BEFORE sleeping. Place sheets so that body oils do not come in contact. Thank you.
Our rule is 'treat it as if it was your own home. If you do not treat your home well, make an exception.
Leave it as you found it as the crew is paid only to sanitize and inventory.
PLEASE leave linens and pillows in their respective rooms as that is where the crew will expect them .
Trash is under carport. Please push to street on Sunday PM.
If something should happen; damage or break.....the crew is soooo much more accepting if told rather than to 'find'. You will not be held liable for any previous faults of others as it was filmed after their departure and crew sanitize/inventory. Notes and photos are also compiled regarding condition upon their departure.
Please notify us if there is any change in occupancy per your contract (last page). Please do not use the decorative/European pillows for your head. Sanitization and Inventory Ccrew fee applies toward; Crew inventories after client departure, sanitize, launder sheets and make beds, photo record for sake of next booking.....I expect that the client leave the house clean for sanitization. Please leave all bedding/pillows, etc in their respective rooms. Please leave kitchen organized as found upon arriving Phone about an hour before departure for walk through. Have the house ready for the next booking as contract describes. Whoever does walk through will be eager to hear your suggestions, likes, and dislikes. If anything occurred untoward, or was damaged, or broken, please take this opportunity to tell us before the crew arrives. Tell us if occupancy changed. We hope you enjoyed your stay and want to come back to one of our ‘overflow guest’ and vacation spots!!! We would like to develop a small clientele who want a very affordable place to visit and return time, and again. I hope you notice the great location and abundant amenities, yet Water Buoy is priced far less than hotel expense and hotel tax. We think it is of fantastic value and I hope you do too. My deposits are a bit higher than those of others’, as I have each location very well appointed with excellent materials and an abundance of furnishings. Look at the photos and you will see tiled floors, well selected furnishings, new appliances. We only ask that people enjoy, and respect what is here.
This is not a FANCY house, but an upbeat FUN house, small, with an exuberant PERSONALITY‼
The hot tub and new kitchen has been completed
We did have our place stocked with all the staples that one would need to immediately 'set up’, thinking that people would replace the expendables as they resided there. I now ask that they do so as a part of my 'pass it on' effort. Replenish SOME things before departure PLEASE as your rental monies do not cover the extras that most rentals do not convenience. Please take this list with you as you visit the grocery store before departure to mark off which items you feel you should replace; • Torch Fuel • Wood/fire logs/fire starter • Charcoal • Charcoal starter • Bic lighters • Matches • Paper products; • Plates o napkins • Cups • Glasses • TP • paper towels o • Food storage ; o Ziploc large small wax paper Saran wrap foil • trash bags o large o small • oven drip pan, • Soaps/Cleaners • liquid dish deterg. • hand deterg, • Body soap • Body Lotion • clothes washer detergent • Clothes softener • Dishwasher tabs • Glass cleaner • Scrub – Comet • Ceramic stove top cleaner, • Commode toiletry fragrances, • Staples, writing pad, envelopes, stamps, paperclips, • Condiments- • mustard, • mayo, • catsup • Salt • pepper • Herbs, • Oils, • Vinegars, • Can goods, • Sugar, • Creamer, • Flour, • Coffee • Baking soda • Snow cone syrups • popcorn

RE: Refundable Deposits We have learned that if you split the deposit and read, aloud, the arrangements expected, departure condition, and rules.........there is NO problem getting ALL deposit.
Whereas, if one does not do this, they (your guests) not only do not know what is expected, they care less, as they have nothing at stake. Saddening, but true.......the person risking all the deposit does not know all of what the others do/not and is held liable. We am not here to keep deposits, but we are slowly finding that, like anything else in life, it takes team effort, care, and commitment. Some people take the attitude that ‘this my vacation and I’m paying to do as I choose” Whereas, others (those an owner wants to have return) think more like we do “ leave it as good, or better, than I found it).
Just a suggestion from those who REALLY DO NOT want to keep deposit.......it is a fully refundable deposit that is suppose to guard against those who take advantage. Usually, it appears, as those are accustomed to maintaining a refined home, are those who depart in good condition. There are only 3.5 – 5 hours for my crew to inventory and then sanitize. They are VERY thorough and I am, often times, a part of the team. Cushions are checked and scrubbed, items counted, linens and PILLOWS counted, cleaned, and beds re-made. Film/photos are taken. The house and furnishings are documented as to condition so that the following booking is not blamed for a previous flaw. We want people at Captain’s Wheel. Nautical Nook, and Water Buoy who enjoy the lake and have a wonderful time while respecting their accommodations. There is no smoking inside and butts are NOT acceptable outside ANYWHERE (driveway, yard, street, etc.,)other than the sand decanter I have placed for their disposal. Please close all doors when smoking so that the alarm (silent) does not activate falsely. Thank you..
