the top five family vacation rentals available in SF.  Located on a 
large, pesticide free, view parcel overlooking the breathtaking San 
Francisco skyline, you will find a country home in the city.  With 
room to roam, privacy and outdoor areas to entertain and relax, you 
will discover a new San Francisco.  The Egger House was originally 
built in 1909 on  North Bernal Heights by the family, immmigrants 
from South Tyrol. The  historical  San Francisco Farm House 
(location of the last cow on Bernal Hill)  remains in the 
Egger family today.  The setting offers a view that spans from 
bridge to bridge with both daytime and night sights that are awe-
inspiring.
  
Equally as distinctive is the open feeling surrounding the home.  
Located above the neighborhood on a long private driveway you leave 
the traffic and parking woes of the city behind.  Your stay at the 
Egger House will allow you to be minutes from all of San Francisco's 
attractions and yet unwind in this serene and enchanting home.

The NON-SMOKING home, with views from every window, offers four 
bedrooms and two baths.  The downstairs bedroom has a double bed & 
is conveniently located to the large bathroom with shower. Upstairs 
you will find three bedrooms. The first bedroom has a single bed,the 
second bedroom has a queen bed and offers you the sights of the 
city, including the tops of the Golden Gate Bridge and Mount 
Tamalpais in Marin County.  The spacious master bedroom has a 
California King bed and allows you to enjoy romantic night-time 
views.  The upstairs bathroom has a bathtub. There are viewing decks 
off two of the bedrooms. 

The kitchen is a connoisseur's delight.  Outfitted with a new Viking 
Professional stove and oven, cooking will be a pleasure and eating 
your meals in the dining room with a view like no other will make 
the evening one you will savor. The kitchen with Miele dishwasher 
and dining area are equipped to serve your entertaining needs.  The 
staples for cooking are already in the kitchen, so you only need to 
bring the entree. 

The gardens give you a wonderful San Francisco experience.  Located 
on the North slope of Bernal Heights, also known as the top of the 
Banana Belt, the home experiences warmer than normal weather and 
gives you the opportunity to enjoy the tranquility of its unique 
surroundings.  Outdoor entertaining in this house is special with 
all the open space and gardens around the home providing plenty of 
room to wander.  A gas barbecue is provided for your grilling needs.

The North Slope of Bernal Heights neighborhood is conveniently 
located within walking distance from the home.  Restaurants and 
grocery stores are nearby.  The neighborhood has a distinct 
personality, as do all San Francisco neighborhoods and allows you to 
experience San Francisco from the natives perspective.  Various 
ethnic and American restaurants are close by, that give you dining 
experiences that many come to the city to explore.  Public 
transportation is at the edge of the property, which will take you 
to any location in the city. The home boasts private off street 
parking for up to four (4) vehicles,  a rare find in the city and a 
much appreciated convenience. Adjacent open space and hiking trails 
through the Bernal Heights hills are outside your front door.  


The home is located 10 minutes from downtown San Francisco and close 
to the many local attractions in the area like,Fisherman's Wharf, 
Pier 39, Chinatown, Moscone Center, De Young Museum and the numerous 
sites that draw people to the city.  The home is less than two 
minutes from Highway 101 for quick access to all parts of the 
city, with ATT Park (Giant's baseball) seven minutes away, 
Candlestick Park (49'ers football) nine minutes, SF/Oakland Bay 
Bridge nine minutes and the San Francisco Airport fifteen minutes.  

This home will suit the needs of a couple looking to experience a 
romantic week in the city with it's tranquil setting and dreamy 
views, a professional seeking accommodations for an interim business 
endeavor or a family or two coming to vacation or work in the city 
for a short-term or longer stay.  The home has ample room for

Vacation Rental Amenities

Four bedrooms and two baths allows for up to seven guests to sleep 
comfortably. Premium bedding with cotton and down(Cal King, 
Queen,double and single), bed linens and towels are provided. A 
crib, porta cribs, high chair and stroller are available upon 
request.
 
Televisions and DVD/VCR (cable included)in three bedrooms, a library 
of family and children's movies, new stereo, CD player and 
CDs. Internet services are SBC DSL Pro with wireless for your 
laptop.  Kitchen has a Viking Professional stove and oven and is 
stocked with quality pots and pans for cooking. Miele dishwasher, 
coffee maker and grinder, blender, toaster, microwave, mixer, waffle 
maker, cutlery,and all other kitchen necessities. 

Staples and condiments for cooking are in the home for your 
convenience. Maytag washer&dryer, washing supplies 
and iron/ironing board. Telephone (local service).Outdoor gas 
barbecue with outdoor table and chairs for your dining pleasure.

Hiking out the front door to the top of Bernal Hill with to die for 
views, biking, sporting events (ATT Park for the Giants and 
Candlestick Park for the 49ers nearby), theater, Moscone Center, 
resturants, shopping, sightseeing, Wine Country tours, ferry trips, 
Fisherman's Wharf, Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Woods, Sausalito, Mount 
Tamaplais, Stinson Beach, Baker Beach, Ocean Beach, Point Reyes 
National Seashore and the restored Cliff House. Alemany at Bayshore 
Farmers Mkt (Sat) and Flea Market (Sun).

Vacation Rental Rates

Nightly rate: $400.US, minimum 3 nights, double occupancy  
Additional persons:$25.per night (no charge for children 6 and under)
Maximum  occupancy:   seven
Weekly rate: from $2400.US, double occupancy, additional 
             persons $25. per person per night
Damage/security deposit: $500.US, $100 linen fee is deducted from 
                         deposit on departure.
Monthly rate: $8,600.US, double occupancy, additional persons 
              $200. per month.
No charge for children 6 and under
