We are 2 minutes from the Fletcher Farm School for arts and crafts. They offer 300 classes year round: knitting, weaving, painting, etching, quilting, carving, pottery, jewelry making; etc. (See http://www.fletcherfarm.com/) The Chalet is also just 2 minutes away from the Castle Day Spa where you can enjoy a massage, facial; etc in a beautiful setting.
The best time of year is fall foliage. Early October is magnificent here. As the trees begin to change color, the vistas are spectacular. The area is a vacation destination all year long.
The entry level of the Chalet has a large family room, laundry and mud room, a Queen size bedroom and a large bunkroom with 2 twins and 1 bunk-bed, also a large bathroom. The upstairs features a kitchen, dining and living room area, Master bedroom with King sized bed and a bathroom with an extremely large bathtub.
The kitchen is fully equipped and has 5 bar stools at the counter. The kitchen leads to a lovely fine weather deck where in warmer months you can grill and enjoy the lovely proctor piper forest that is in the backyard. There is also a seasonal stream on the property.
The property is great for families. Children are always welcome. Two families can easily share this home as the Queen and King bedrooms are master bedroom quality and 4 children can share the jungle them bedroom.
