Hilton Head Island is a town located in Beaufort County, South Carolina. The town is a very popular tourist destination as it is very close to the Atlantic Ocean which gives a very good beach front. The highest point in the island is the Harbour Town Lighthouse, tourist and residents are allowed to go to the top of the lighthouse. It gives a clear view of the Island and the shopping areas of the island. The other attractions of the island is the Adventure cove, Island Playground, Coastal Discovery Museum. The famous shopping area of the Island is the Shelter Cove Harbour.
There are 2 airports which is connected to the Island, Hilton Head Airport and Savannah/Hilton International Airport. The Island is connected to the interstate highway. The local residents commute by their own transportation.
